Eighth grader participated the Washington State National Geographic Bee
Open Window students participated in a school Geography Bee on December 1st with a leader, eighth grader Ellie Blachman, coming in first place. A written test was then required to qualify for participation in the Washington State National Geographic Bee, which took place on March 27th.
This is the third year Open Window School participated at the state level National Geographic Bee, with Owen Benda going to nationals in Washington, D.C. in 2013 and also coming in 3rd place at the state level in 2014.
