Thank you for your interest in our virtual summer programs! We are running virtual programs during all 5 weeks of our summer program (July 6-August 7).
Our virtual summer programs will provide project-based learning opportunities for our students to take part in from the comfort of their own homes while maintaining a sense of community.
The programs will follow our typical weekly structure with slightly adjusted start times. AM Classes will run from 9:00-12:00 and PM Classes from 1:00-4:00.
These camps include:
Materials Kit – a package that families can pick up curbside from campus the Friday before their program begins. These will contain the necessary materials for all of their projects that week. Open Window School will follow all public health guidelines when distributing materials. Full procedures will be emailed out to registered families a week before their session begins.
Teacher Communication – Each day will start with a synchronous group meeting with the teacher, where the day’s activity will be shared, and campers can share projects from the previous day. Campers will then have access to pre-recorded videos by the teacher demonstrating the activity that the student will be able to do in their own time. Campers will be able to connect with their teacher one on one during set hours to have questions answered and get support as needed. There will also be small group meetings to discuss ongoing projects. Some programs, such as Minecraft, will have more synchronous activities.
Please note that campers will need internet access and a device (laptop/iPad etc.) to take part in the virtual programs. More information on software requirements for each program will be sent out after registration.
Registration for each camp will close one week before the start date, and a minimum of twelve campers need to register for a camp to run. Each one-week, half-day camp costs $105. There are some programs that have an additional materials fee which you can find in our offerings guide.
