At Open Window we were encouraged to work hard, grow and try new things. I was surrounded by people who wanted to see me take risks, and even when I messed up, they were there for me - encouraging me to try again. -Annie, Class of 2020
I’ve grown up here at Open Window, as did my sister. My family has spent so much time at this school, and the teachers and staff and families here have become our second family. I am so thankful for my classmates, who have grown up into brilliant young men and women. Thank you to my teachers, who listen to me and take the extra step for each student. Thank you to the staff who all treat me like an equal. -Elsie, Class of 2019
"How can we help support you?” A simple, yet complicated question everyone here is so frequently asked here at Open Window School…I believe this simple question about support sets apart Open Window from any other school. -Sam, Class of 2019
What I appreciate the most is that I learned all these things with people that I felt really knew me and were on my side. I was given a foundation in a safe yet challenging environment. -William, Class of 2017
Our teachers who are our advisors and publishers, critics and facilitators, thank you for guiding us through our many years and proving us as students, writers and people. -Eliana, Class of 2015
This is a place where we have learned to step out of our comfort zone and try new activities, test new theories and share new feelings; a place where we have come to believe in ourselves and our potential; a place where we have learned to ask for help and help others; a place where we have established a community of love and acceptance. -Serena, Class of 2014
At Open Window School I learned what it meant to be a good friend, student, learner and leader…in high school I feel comfortable sharing my opinions and receiving feedback from teachers and peers. -Elise, Class of 2012
