About Endowments

Donations to one of Open Window School’s two endowments remain in perpetuity and a portion of the investment earnings support the endowment’s designated objective. The long-term strategic goal is for the growth of our endowments to provide increasing financial support for the specified annual operating needs of the school.

These endowments include both donor restricted gifts (permanent endowment) and funds designated by the Board of Trustees (quasi-endowment). The Board has adopted an investment policy which defines the targeted portfolio allocations for the investment of permanent and quasi endowment funds. It also defines the spending policy for these endowments.
