Our high school placement program is intentional, personalized, and built around what we know about gifted learners.  
 

 

A JOURNEY THAT BEGINS EARLY 

Early touchpoints help families explore a wide range of high school paths long before applications are due. 

  • Regular information sessions are held to help our families understand the many options available both near and far.

  • Families with students in grade seven and eight attend workshops and panel events which feature admissions representatives from local public schools, independent day schools, and national boarding schools.

  • The middle school team meets regularly with families of students in grades seven and eight to support the decision making process.

THOUGHTFUL GUIDANCE, EVERY STEP OF THE WAY 

In eighth grade, every student and their family meets one-on-one with our midldle school team to reflect on priorities, explore a wide range of high school options, and build a personalized plan. Families and students are supported through each step of the process: 

  • identifying values and priorities

  • school research

  • essay writing

  • interviews

  • decision-making

Partnering with high schools ensures that admissions teams understand each student’s academic readiness, character, and potential. Our graduates are well prepared for advanced placement coursework enrolling in upper level studies and honors courses in humanities, math, science, technology and Spanish.
