As a former gifted student and the parent of two gifted children, I believe deeply in the importance of schools that both challenge and support gifted learners. My passion for this work led me to spend many years in the classroom, earn an endorsement in gifted education, and later complete a doctorate in education; I now serve as Director of Strategic Program Development and Enrollment Management.

 I love Open Window School because we focus on the whole child, supporting both hearts and minds while helping students grow into confident, compassionate leaders.

VONDA RENFROE  

Assistant Director of Admissions

I hold a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. In my prior career, I was a corporate finance director and an attorney.  Before transitioning to admissions, I volunteered for several years with youth organizations, focusing primarily on sports and instrumental music. I am passionate about Open Window’s mission to nurture and inspire students of high intellectual potential because I was identified as gifted when I was in middle school.  Having experienced both a traditional elementary school education and then an environment tailored for gifted students, I understand the value that a school for gifted students provides.

 I love helping families navigate the admissions process in their search for a school that will nurture their children’s hearts and minds.
