Our transportation options are designed to support families across the Eastside with safe, reliable, and thoughtfully coordinated systems.

SCHOOL BUS ROUTES

Open Window partners with a trusted, accredited bus company to offer convenient commuter-style routes with designated stops along major corridors.

This program makes the school day more accessible for families while reducing traffic and environmental impact.

Current Routes Include:

Western Route: Includes stops in Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond

Eastern Route: Includes stops in Issaquah and Sammamish

Mercer Island: Served by an OWS minibus for added flexibility

CARPOOLING WITH GOKID

Open Window School partners with GoKid to provide a dedicated carpooling platform designed specifically for Open Window families, helping parents easily find other Open Window families who live nearby to form reliable carpools for school, after‑school activities, and more.

Through the GoKid website and app, parents can view other Open Window families on a map, start chats, and set up or manage carpools while saving time and reducing traffic. The school map feature makes it simple to identify strong carpool matches and connect directly through the app, available on both iOS and Android.

GoKid also supports coordination with customizable driving schedules, automated reminders, and live tracking for added peace of mind, ensuring families always know where their child is during transit.
